Maternity Reflexology
Pregnancy is a beautiful time in a woman’s life.  It is not always easy however!  As the baby develops and grows, he/she can put a strain on the mother’s changing body and emotions.  Reflexology is a great treatment for helping mums-to-be to relax, to normalise the body’s functioning and to balance the body.
Regular Reflexology treatments during pregnancy can help reduce stress and anxiety and create a calming environment for baby to thrive.
Midwives in the British National Health Service (NHS), concluded that Reflexology during pregnancy can result in shorter labour (!) and reduced pain relief (see link below).
Reflexology treatments after the birth can help to rebalance hormones, boost milk production and help mom adapt to the new demands being placed upon her.
Maternity Reflexology does not replace medical supervision.  Reflexologists  seek to work alongside traditional medicine.  However, common pregnancy conditions for which Reflexology may offer relief include:
Nausea / “Morning” Sickness
Oedema / Sluggish circulation / Fluid Retention (NB if not related to Pre
Back pain / Leg pain/Restless Legs
